Our first venture as Harrow Audio began in 1973 situated in the very same premises. After some very hectic "cash & carry" years we eventually joined forces with KJ Leisuresound Ltd. situated in the main high street where we successfully sold quality hi-fi throughout the late seventies.

During that time the Top Tape mailorder company operated from 27 Springfield Road and built up a reputation as the country's leading supplier of audio and video tape at the lowest prices in the UK. 

Following the restructure of KJ and the rapid growth of Top Tape in 1980, we moved the mail order operation to a modern warehouse and reopened the hi-fi shop. Such was the popularity of our tape pricing that we soon became the place to buy tapes and the hi-fi department was soon back in business with the added bonus of the dedicated hi-fi sales staff.

Now all 3 areas of our business are based at Springfield. Road.
